About Rockstar

Tracy Vaughn, CPT, AOS Kettlebell Trainer
Owner

Tracy Vaughn

I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. For 14 years I was the Director of Fitness for a few large health clubs in the Michiana area. I have taught a variety of classes, but enjoy and see the best results from kickboxing and strength training. As a personal trainer, kettlebell training has been the most exciting and challenging tool to capture my interest. Having received my Kettlebell Certification from Anthony Diluglio at Art of Strength in Baltimore, MD, I can truly say I was trained by the best. Anthony is a trainer for the Tennessee Titans and the Boston Celtics. The knowledge and methods I learned from him are in part what make Rockstar the #1 facility in Michiana to achieve your goals. Kettlebell training takes everyone you train and yourself to the next level. I love watching people progress, not only in reshaping their body, but reshaping their lives. Prior experience in business management has truly helped me understand the fitness industry and the needs and time constraints of clients and how to make it all work.

EXPERIENCE/VALUES

I believe that in life, everyone should take that extra step everyday toward being healthy. I have been in the fitness industry for almost 10 years. In that time, I have been a personal trainer and a fitness instructor for a variety of health facilities, and have worked in diverse environments. I love educating people one-on-one or challenging a group to test their abilities, and beyond. I find weaknesses in a person and I work on strengthening those weaknesses. Through their limitation, we create a solid foundation on which my client can grow from. I teach anything from strength to cycling. I coach individuals in a sport specific manner to planning a workout for relaxation purposes. I have had the great experience working with a range of people from young children to adults; fit athletes to individuals with disabilities. New and old, I receive true pleasure in helping my clients attain the goals they set out for and designing the workouts they need to get them there. I have a true passion for life and getting the most out of it. The people I have the privilege of working with can achieve this physically, mentally, and emotionally. It takes true dedication and determination to turn ones life around. I would love to help and be a part of that. Working as a team, I promise you will walk away from your workouts with more than what you came with.

My motto: The Human Body is only as Strong as it’s Mind

EXPERIENCE/VALUES

I have 20 years experience working in the healthcare industry and have been devoted to physical fitness and nutritional fitness all my life. I have always focused on the balance between weight training, cardio and nutrition. Nutrition being a very crucial part of the equation of being healthy, I have recently adopted the Apex nutrition program and am working toward getting certified in this area. My time spent in the gym consist of attending classes that focused on cycling, kickboxing, weight training, bootcamps and kettlebells. I believe strongly in kettlebell training as a total body strength and cardio workout and decided to take my knowledge to the next level to become certified. I am certified through AOS (Art of Strength). I am also currently getting ready to take my personal training certification through NASM (National Academy of Scientific Medicine). With the correct balance between weight training, cardio and nutrition I can help you achieve the best results in less time.

I have been in the fitness industry for the past 25 years. Power lifting has been a part of most of my fitness career. I still hold a few local records in bench press contests and recently accomplished 450 lbs in a local contest at the age of 41. Weight training has been my life and I love helping others achieve their goals. For the past 3 years I have been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Elkhart Express basketball team. I enjoy training the average individual who just wants to get in shape to the young athlete. TRAIN HARD is my motto. Big Mike!

EXPERIENCE/VALUES

I have been a personal trainer since 2006. I have worked with athletes, swat team members, and clients just wanting to get in shape. Sports have always been a big part of my life from age 4 through college basketball. I have just recently graduated from IUSB and I’m pumped to be a trainer at Rockstar! Outside of fitness and exercise, I have a great interest in Haiti. In the fall of 08′, I spent 3 months in rural Haiti setting up a malnutrition program for severely malnourished children under the age of 5. Since then, I have been back 3 times to continue the program, as well as leading a construction team to rebuild a home destroyed in hurricane Gustav. This care for others reflects in how I treat my clients. I want you to meet your goals and be happy with the things you accomplish fitness-wise and in life. I get the most satisfaction when a client makes progress toward their goals, whether it’s increasing their speed and agility, improving their strength, making the varsity team, or “getting a six pack.” I am very knowledgeable on nutrition and supplement needs to help accelerate clients towards their continued success. Let me help you get where you want to be.
